Presence in Fog

I was about 8 years of age... and I was living in Ecuador at that time. My mother, sister and I shared a room in this three story high apartment. I woke up in the middle of the night chilled. I saw that the curtains were drawn in a knot, I get up to close the windows as I notice something different...

I look out the window and I saw a perfectly fog like face looking at me. It was and older man starring at me with sad eyes. I was so scared... I ran back to bed skaken with fear. It most have been about 5 minutes that has gone by and I couldn't take not telling my mother of what I saw out there.

I woke my mother and told her what I have seen, she rushed to the window thinking someone was trying to break into the apartment. As she aproched the window she notice a fast moving smoke pass by and disapear. The next couple of weeks weird things kept happening, the doors would knock and no one was there... the dogs would cry all the time and my little sister was in the bedroom alone and she saw my mother shoes take a step up.
